The future Deputy Risk Officer will be based in Luanda and will be responsible for reviewing on an on-going basis the risk management function to ensure adherence international banking risks management standards, Angolan law and international law. This person will perform, under supervision of the Risk Officer, risk and systems-based audits of all the business processes of the Bank. The ideal candidate should have a high level of maturity, credibility and interpersonal abilities when interacting with senior management. We are looking for a strong oral and written communicative person. Superior organizational and analytical skills, ability to prioritize and handle a demanding workload as well as the wish to work in a small company are indispensable.
Duties and responsibilities:
➢ Direct report to the Risk Officer
➢ Analyze balance sheets and credit proposals
➢ Prepare credit statistical reports
➢ Analyze credits and loans
➢ Be aware of market development in Angola
➢ Be aware of regulations of Central Bank of Angola regarding lending
➢ Prepare loan reports for Risk Officer (according to classification of loans, industry and others)
Skills and specifications:
➢ 5 years experience working in a Bank, with at least one year of relevant experience or currently working for a relevant National or an International Bank.
➢ Excellent background of Accounting
➢ Fluent Portuguese and working knowledge of English (an advantage)
➢ Awareness of the rules applied by the Angolan Central Bank regarding internal regulations for credits
➢ Analysing balance sheets, cash flow and financial conditions of the corporate segment (at least one year)
➢ Knowledge of local market development
➢ Able to perform loan portfolio analysis
➢ Part from risk management, must have professional experience as credit analyst in a Credit Analysis Department
➢ Angolan citizen (preferential)
➢ Availability as soon as possible
