LNG ENGENEERING AND OPERARTIONS DEVELOPMENT (m/f)
1 Vacancy – Maputo
FUNCTION
Ensure that all work planning and execution activities place the highest priority on safety of personnel, protection of the environment, and consideration of social impacts. Work within a team that is focused on oversight and coordination of LNG FEED conducted by a selected LNG EPC contractor. Review of agreed LNG FEED technical deliverables and communication of those deliverables to other members of the project team. Interface and communicate regularly with Anadarko Mozambique LNG Operations to ensure that LNG FEED deliverables will meet the long term requirements of Operations. Prepare weekly activity reports of ongoing LNG FEED activities at Engineering Contractor. Prepare general work plans, and basic training plans in consultation with other team members. Work with Operations Team to plan and implement a new port development within Northern Mozambique for use by Drilling and Operations teams. Help represent Project Team with Regulatory and NGO groups active in Mozambique.
PROFILE
• Bachelors degree (or international equivalent, 4-year degree) in Chemical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering Degree preferred;
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience required, working with engineering firms and construction activities;
• Oil & gas experience preferred;
• Proficient English and Portuguese language skills, both verbal and written;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively with other engineers, field foremen, onsite consultants, and cross-discipline professionals;
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
Relocation: This position would require relocation to Houston for a period of 16 to 20 months with planned relocation back in Mozambique thereafter.
